“Remember The Maine!”

On the night of February 15, 1898 an explosion on board the USS Maine occurred in the Havana Harbor, Cuba. The event was used by many already inclined to go to war with Spain to build a news media propaganda force that would catapult the U.S. into the Spanish American War by falsely blaming Spain first without any investigation. Then on March 28, 1898, the US Naval Court of Inquiry in Key West declared that a naval mine caused the explosion. The phrase “Remember the Maine!, To hell with Spain!” was echoed though out the countries newspapers and culture to rally the masses. To pay for the war, Congress enacted a “temporary” tax of 3 percent on long-distance telephone bills. The Temporary Long-Distance Telephone Tax’s 107 year life span ended in 2005 after generating a total of $94 billion dollars. As well, at the end of the one year War the U.S. found itself in control of Cuba, The Philippines, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Hawaiian Islands. Since the explosion that day in Havana Harbor, there had been obvious controversy. Two distinct characteristics of a mine explosion were missing from the scene. The total lack of dead fish in the harbour following the explosion and the fact that water was not blown up into the air during the explosion caused many witnesses and investigators to take a second look. Since 1898 four investigations conclusively found that an explosion inside the ship of the forward six-inch ammunition magazines had caused the sinking. The Spanish mine theory used to spur the War was reported as the least likely scenario to have caused the internal explosion.

Avenge Pearl Harbor!

Throughout 1940, The United States decoded intercepted messages laying out Japan’s plan to attack Pearl Harbor in 1941. Washington silently allowed the operation to proceed, even calming worries of the Generals in Hawaii in order to squash the American anti-war attitude overnight. Afterwards, the attack was over dramatized and the U.S. was hurdled into World War Two.

Operation Northwoods

In 1962, the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff unanimously proposed state-sponsored acts of terrorism against American citizens, on American soil. The head of every branch of the U.S. armed forces gave written approval to sink U.S. ships, shoot down hijacked American planes, and gun down and bomb civilians on the streets of Washington, D.C. and Miami. The document which laid out the plans for these possible attacks was called Operation Northwoods. Operation Northwoods was a 1962 plan to generate U.S. public support for military action against the Cuban government of Fidel Castro, as part of the U.S. government’s Operation Mongoose anti-Castro initiative. The plan, which was not implemented, called for various false flag actions, including simulated or real state-sponsored acts of terrorism such as hijacked planes on U.S. and Cuban soil. The plan was proposed by senior U.S. Department of Defense leaders, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lyman Louis Lemnitzer. The US citizens learned of Operation Northwoods for the 1st time when the Top Secret document was declassified by the John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Review Board. Before Operation Northwoods became operational General Lyman Lemnitzer personally delivered the document to President Kennedy to gain his approval. Kennedy immediately fired Lemnitzer & thwarted their plans. President Kennedy continued his last year pulling plugs to eliminate the CIA & the Federal Reserve.

USS Liberty

On June 8, 1967, in international waters about 12.5 nautical miles (23 km) from the coast of the Sinai Peninsula, north of El Arish, Israeli fighter planes and torpedo boats attacked the USS Liberty, a U.S. Navy intelligence ship. The attack occurred during the Six-Day War, a conflict between Israel and the Arab states of Egypt, Jordan and Syria. The Israeli attack killed 34 U.S. servicemen and wounded at least 173. The attack was the second deadliest against a U.S. Naval vessel since the end of World War II, and marked the single greatest loss of life by the U.S. Intelligence Community. When the USS Liberty found itself under attack by friendly Israeli gun ships and fighter jets it called out in distress to the two near by US aircraft carriers. Against orders from on high both carriers launched fighter jets to aid their comrades. After disobeying the White House order to recall the support, the General heard President Johnson step on the line to personally tell him “I want that goddamn ship going to the bottom. No help. Recall the wings.” LBJ. After 3 hours of brutal attack, a Russian ship pulled up to watch the treacherous Israeli onslaught on the US vessel. Facing the facts that they were caught and the USS Liberty would not sink the Israeli ships backed off allowing the Liberty to limp to safety. Afterwards, all American and Israeli Soldiers were told they would spend life in prison or be killed if they told anyone what happened. Some were given awards in secrecy and told that they could never speak of them.

Gulf of Tonkin

On August 2, 1964, 3 North Vietnamese torpedo boats attacked the USS Maddox. On August 4, the American citizens were told of a 2nd attack which never actually happened. Despite the fact that there were supposedly no North Vietnamese ships in the waters, two US destroyers blasted the radar targets for two hours. Several hours later, President Lyndon B. Johnson ordered a retaliation and soon after Congress passed the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution pre-approving any military actions that Johnson wished to take against Vietnam. All the claims of the entire second attack were later proven false when research, including a report released in 2005 by the National Security Agency, indicated that the second attack most likely never occurred.

1993 World Trade Center Bombing

In the course of the terrorists’ trials it was revealed that the FBI had an informant, a former Egyptian army officer named Emad A. Salem. Salem claims to have informed the FBI of the plot to bomb the towers as early as February 6, 1992. His role as informant allowed the FBI to quickly pinpoint the conspirators. Salem, initially believing that it was to be a sting operation, claimed that the FBI’s plan was for Salem to supply the conspirators with a harmless powder instead of actual explosives. He secretly recorded hundreds of hours of telephone conversations with his FBI handlers. On Oct. 28 and 31 1993 The New York Times as well as the Chicago Tribune on Dec 15, 1993 both reported that Federal Government was actually caught on tapes by their informants ordering them to let the bombing go forward, to cook the bombs and to give the terrorist the detonators. After receiving one million dollars and real explosives from the FBI, Salem was instructed to build a bomb and give it to the foolish people he was controlling. Salem questioned their intentions and asked “Why are you giving me real explosives, If this is just a sting operation?” Suspecting that his current operation may not be merely a sting, Salem reportedly recorded in secrecy the head of the FBI in New York ordering him to let the bombing take place. In December 1993, James M. Fox, the head of the FBI’s New York Office, denied that the FBI had any foreknowledge of the attacks.
