Scotland Yard Investigators said the bombers did not fit the Modus operandi of bombers and that the bombers may have not known they had explosives in their backpacks. The tragic events on 911 were possible because of the confusion that rendered NORAD useless that morning. NORAD was running drills that morning which simulated the exact hijackings that were taking place. Unable to even distinguish between the real and simulated blips on the radar, NORAD was forced into submission, accedentally sending the two nearest fighter jets over the Atlantic Ocean to defend the White House.
On the morning of April 19, 1995 the entire ATF, who's head quarters was The A. P. Murrah Federal Building, were all notified via their pagers not to enter the building. Many were however suited up waiting a few blocks away until the first bomb detonated after which they promptly rushed to the scene. Similar to the media complacency surrounding the September 11, most of the Nation never learned about the existence of what should fundamentally been the key evidence in the Oklahoma City investigation. Unfortunately, The reports never got past the local Oklahoma City news stations. This smoking gun of their forensic evidence was the recovery and diffusion of two larger un-detonated bombs from the A.P. Murrah Federal Building.
